Looking After Customers Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow is Always the Most Important Thing
Customer satisfaction has always been intrinsically important to the Sage Intacct team, but now more than ever, we’re in constant communication with our customers finding out how we can help their businesses and what they need from us. Customer care is in our DNA and is an aspect of our organization in which we always strive for excellence.
We recently ran a survey asking over 400 finance and accounting professionals from small and medium businesses what were the major reactions to the current crisis. The most pressing issues on customers and other participants in the survey were impacts to cash flow, along with keeping business running under the new normal – continuous operations. Nearly 75% of respondents have reduced costs in response to the crisis and 57% are redoing their budgets and revenue plans. When asked, “Which actions would you consider implementing to help your business recover faster?” three areas stood out:
- Purchase or expand the use of web conferencing systems
- Installing VPNs and security software to enable remote access
- Purchasing or expanding the use of cloud-based systems for accounting, HR, CRM, etc.
Times have changed and now Zoom has become an adjective that even my 80 year old mother uses.
In tumultuous times like these, while most of us have been asked to shelter-in-place and work from home, a sense of community – both with colleagues and customers – has been built in a way that will stay with us long after this crisis is over.
That’s why a couple recent awards based exclusively on customer reviews, experiences and feedback were especially meaningful.
Due to excellent ratings for product functionality and customer satisfaction, Sage Intacct won three 2020 Top Rated Awards from TrustRadius. Sage Intacct received awards in the following software categories: Accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Subscription Management.
TrustRadius is a leading review site for business technology. Each month about 500,000 B2B technology buyers use over 220,000 verified reviews and ratings to help them make informed purchasing decisions. In order to maintain consumer trust, the 2020 Top Rated list is based purely on reviews; there is no paid placement, and analyst opinions do not influence the TrustRadius rankings.
This year, TrustRadius analyzed more than 2,000 high-quality, in-depth user reviews from the last 12 months to select the Top Rated products across multiple software categories. In order to qualify, organizations had to have at least 4 stars and a trScore of 7.5 or higher, indicating above-average satisfaction for business technology. Sage Intacct exceeded these requirements with trScore of 8.5 and customer rating 4.5 out of five stars based on over 900 reviews from verified users. Additionally, Sage Intacct was named to G2’s 2020 Best Software Products list. Sage Intacct was highlighted on a listing of the Best Products for Finance. Akin to The People’s Choice Awards for tech companies, G2’s Best Software Awards rank the world’s best software companies and products based on authentic, timely reviews from real users.
G2, the world’s largest tech marketplace, created the Best Software Products for Finance list based on data from over 1M authentic, verified customer reviews. The reviews for this year’s list were written and published between January 1, 2019 - March 3, 2020, and were each personally vetted to ensure legitimacy. Sage Intacct has more than 1,000 verified reviews on G2 with a cumulative rating of 4.5 stars out of five.

Before joining Sage Intacct, Ian led marketing at Argyle Data transitioning the company to a leading machine learning Hadoop application vendor, used by the world’s largest mobile carriers to perform fraud and revenue threat analytics. Before that, Ian led marketing at StorSimple prior to their acquisition by Microsoft and SeeBeyond prior to their acquisition by Sun. Ian also worked in market development at Documentum, where he led their entry into financial services which became the company's largest vertical. Ian has a Ph.D. in distributed database systems and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing and Statistics from Cardiff University.
